Baker & Hostetler will open an office in Austin on Jan. 1, 2025, its third in Texas and 18th overall, that will launch with a team of 10 affordable housing lawyers from Locke Lord led by partner Cynthia Bast.
The Locke Lord group is leaving the Am Law 100 firm at the end of the month because of client conflicts that will develop once the Dallas-founded Locke Lord merges on Jan. 1 with Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders, Bast said.
