- The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services was found to have violated its guidelines and the Administrative Procedure Act.
A team of Alston & Bird attorneys convinced a federal district judge in Texas to order the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to recalculate Medicare Advantage ratings for UnitedHealth Group and several other insurance companies.
U.S. District Judge Jeremy Kernodle in the Tyler division of the Eastern District of Texas ordered CMS, the federal agency, to "immediately publish the recalculated star ratings in the Medicare Plan Finder" for the 2025 plan year.
