A busy energy industry, boosted by work in energy transition, helped provide work for lawyers in Texas across transactional practices. That, along with a growing number of corporate headquarters in the state, also lured more firms to Texas, where about half of the Am Law 200 have Texas offices.

Seven out of nine of Texas' largest firms posted higher revenue in 2023 than in 2022.
