An American Airlines flight attendant who lost his position because of the airline’s absentee policy claims in a class action lawsuit AA discriminates against disabled people.

Edward Longobardi worked as a flight attendant with the company for more than two decades. As early as 2004, being HIV positive, he inquired about his rights to medical leave and Americans with Disability Act accommodations, according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
