"Especially for minorities, we spend a career trying to prove that we are as good as the 'majority' and do not take the time to focus on our own accomplishments and talents," she said. "Sometimes you have to be your own champion and pull yourself out of tough days or situations by knowing your worth and what you bring to the table. Be confident."
