Adidas is dragging Nike Inc. into a federal district court in Texas, claiming the Oregon-based company knowingly infringed on nine intelligent running shoe patents.
Adidas companies and an affiliated company, the Austria-based digital health and fitness company Runtastic, brought suit June 10 in the U.S. Eastern District of Texas-Marshall Division to protect their patents on products such as the Adidas 1, which adjusts comfort levels while worn.
