Galveston County is being sued for disability discrimination and retaliation for how its sheriff’s department dealt with one of its most-decorated deputies—a peace officer suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder from his experience at the Santa Fe High School mass shooting, according to the complaint.

Alfonso Kennard, a board-certified employment law attorney, represents this officer as well as a paramedic who said he is struggling with his own legal issues related to PTSD and another mass shooting—the massacre at Sutherland Springs.
