It’s a new year, and Texas firms are slotting fresh lawyers into top leadership roles firmwide and in offices as the legal industry’s move to younger management accelerates to provide for succession planning, and to help retain mid-career lawyers.

Vinson & Elkins, the Am Law 100 firm founded in Houston, faces the New Year with a restructured management team, as a four-member executive committee led by chair Keith Fullenweider replaces chair Mark Kelly and managing partner Scott Wulfe, who had reached the firm’s 10-year term limit.
