Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals Chief Justice Robert D. Burns III was publicly admonished last month after the judicial conduct commission determined he made an undignified comment when telling a criminal defendant he “should die in a locked closet.”
On Friday, the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct released the Aug. 19 public admonition condemning Burns’ conduct.
