A State Bar of Texas referendum that amends the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct to allow firms to use trade names in Texas was approved by bar members in a vote that ended Thursday evening.
The revision of Rule 7.01(c) would explicitly allow firms to use trade names as long as they are not false or misleading.
