Before launching consulting company The Changists in Dallas last January, Cheralyn Stevenson said she had held down just about every job possible at a law firm—except attorney. Deciding against law school, she and Stacey Stevenson, her business partner and spouse, both went to business school and then opened the consulting company with the goal of helping law firms and corporate legal departments boost productivity while reducing costs.

Law.com spoke with The Changists’ head of legal innovation Cheralyn Stevenson and founder Stacey Stevenson about how their business differs from other consulting firms targeting the legal industry, their clients, and how they have been getting their business off the ground since launching it shortly before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
