Dominion Voting Systems has filed its highly anticipated defamation lawsuit against attorney Sidney Powell over false statements she made asserting the company played a role in rigging the 2020 election against President Donald Trump.

Attorneys for Clare Locke filed the 124-page complaint in Washington, D.C.’s federal trial court Friday morning, asserting that Powell’s “wild accusations are demonstrably false” and the claims “caused unprecedented harm.” The complaint asks a federal judge to award Dominion at least $1.3 billion in damages, as well as order the removal of Powell’s alleged defamatory statements and block her from repeating them in the future.
