Judge Ursula Hall of Houston is appealing a public warning that concluded she violated judicial ethics rules and the Texas Constitution by never ruling on a litigant’s discovery motions and handling a recusal matter too slowly.
The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct on Monday announced the sanction against Hall, who presides over Harris County’s 165th District Court. But her attorney said she’s appealed it to the Texas Supreme Court, which will appoint a special court of review to hold a brand new trial over the judicial grievance.
