The protests this summer over how the law enforcement and criminal justice systems impact people of color have spurred the Texas judiciary to recommend that Texas judges begin to take implicit bias training every year.
Texas judges have had to take implicit-bias training since 2001, but that training would be expanded under a resolution that the Texas Judicial Council passed Thursday.
