The State Bar of Texas will not hold a runoff election but is awaiting a recount in the extremely close race between president-elect candidates Sylvia Borunda Firth and Pablo Almaguer.
Firth, an El Paso solo practitioner, won 49.31% of the vote and the bar declared her the winner because she garnered more ballots than Almaguer’s 49.11%.
