The state House of Representatives unanimously passed the One-Stop Shop Act, which creates a single website to aid existing and potential business owners in identifying and accessing all the necessary permits, licenses, certifications and other documents essential to starting and running their business in accordance to Pennsylvania law.
The bill would require the Department of Community & Economic Development to create a website that provides for internet-based access to features such as registering: business names, professional licensure requirements; business structures and fictitious names with the Department of State; state tax accounts with the Department of Revenue; and employer accounts with the Department of Labor and Industry.
