A small western Pennsylvania law firm has reached the end of the line in its appeal of a determination that its former legal assistant is entitled to unemployment compensation benefits.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied allocatur in Ligonier Law v. Unemployment Compensation Board of Review on May 22, letting stand a Commonwealth Court ruling that found two-lawyer Ligonier Law effectively terminated Joslin Bennet when it changed its mind about whether she could do her job on a part-time basis.
