The Pennsylvania Superior Court has upheld a trial judge’s decision to coordinate several actions stemming from allegations of mishandled funds at the Harvey Pennington law firm.

In Greenberg v. Harvey Pennington, the court said a Chester County trial judge did not abuse his discretion when he consolidated two cases: (1) a Chester County Court of Common Pleas action in which former Harvey Pennington medical malpractice attorney Eric B. Greenberg alleges the firm didn’t pay him according to certain agreed-upon terms and (2) a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas suit filed by Harvey Pennington against another former medical malpractice attorney, John F.X. Monaghan, for allegedly diverting firm funds to pay for the defense of a contempt action against him in Berks County.
