Steve Berman

Steve Berman is founder and managing partner of national plaintiff-focused law firm Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro, LLC. Mr. Berman has played a key role in winning record-setting settlements in class-action cases against Wall Street, Big Oil, Big Pharma and Big Tobacco, earning him significant recognition. His notable verdicts include antitrust, whistleblower, consumer protection, securities and intellectual property cases. Mr. Berman was appointed co-lead counsel in a massive MDL alleging that Toyota vehicles contained a defect causing sudden, unintended acceleration. He was also successful in securing a quarter billion dollar settlement on behalf of Enron employees in ERISA litigation, and more than $338 million in aggregate settlements against Big Pharma challenging pricing schemes. Recently, Mr. Berman has led multiple cases against the NCAA on behalf of student-athletes regarding issues of concussions in sport and the value of scholarships.
