As general counsel of Atlantic Health System—a role she has held since 2016 after joining Atlantic Health as an assistant GC in 2010—Sheilah O’Halloran oversees six hospitals and a department of nine attorneys. In 2017 she helped found Atlantic Alliance, a network of health care providers in New Jersey, as well as the Healthcare Transformation Consortium, a group of hospital owners, in order to address health care costs. She also fostered accords between Atlantic Health facilities and the municipalities in which they sit following a landmark 2015 Tax Court ruling on whether and to what extent hospitals may be assessed.
