On April 16, 2018, Seton University School of Hall hosted its annual Hobbs Lecture, hosting keynote speaker, Judge Stephanos Bibas of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Supported by Peter N. Larson (Class of  ’74) and his wife, Lee, the annual lecture series, which was inaugurated in 2012, is dedicated to the spirit of civil discourse and diversity of opinion on matters of national importance.

[Photo Credit: Joe Epstein.] Divorce and family law attorney Cassie Murphy of Paone, Zaleski & Murray was selected as the 2018 recipient of the Martin S. Goldin Family Law Award. Murphy was presented the award by the Family Law Committee of the Middlesex County Bar Association at its annual Family Law dinner meeting on Jan. 24, 2018 at the Pines Manor in Edison. The award, according to the association, is presented each year to a family law practitioner practicing 15 years or less who demonstrates the ability to settle issues on a fair and reasonable basis before resorting to litigation; fosters respect and courtesy for the bench and bar; maintains high standards of integrity and professionalism; and exhibits leadership in bar associations. Murphy is a trustee of the Monmouth County Legal Aid Society and is a voting member of the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association.  She is also a member of the Middlesex County, Monmouth County, and New Jersey State (Family Law Section) bar associations. She practices in the firm’s Red Bank office.
