A federal judge in Camden, New Jersey, has refused motions by a former president of the New Jersey State Bar Association to halt foreclosure on more than $1 million in loans to his law firm.

U.S. District Judge Robert Kugler granted partial summary judgment to the bank in its action to foreclose on a house in Ocean City, New Jersey, and a building in Bridgeton, New Jersey, owned by Kevin McCann. The judge denied McCann’s cross-claims for fraud and breach of contract against the bank in its action to foreclose on McCann’s summer house in Ocean City and a building in Bridgeton where McCann’s law office is located.
