The Legal Aid Society filed a lawsuit Monday that would require the Trump administration to give 48-hour notice to undocumented children in New York before they are transferred to another immigrant detention facility.
The notice would give those children the opportunity to consult with lawyers and their parents to explore asylum and other forms of relief, the Legal Aid Society said.
