Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal sided with New York-based global law firm Proskauer Rose in a case challenging the length of time a court can hold a firm liable for an alleged fraudulent tax shelter.
The panel Wednesday found for the law firm in a legal malpractice suit brought by married couple Stephen and Lori Garofalo, and their three trust companies — Louisiana Partners Fund, Baton Rouge Partners Fund and New Orleans Partners Fund.
