Miami attorney Paul T. Reid made it out of the frying pan and into the fire this week, when his firm Shook, Hardy & Bacon suspended him less than 24 hours after news broke about the backlash to his opposition to pregnant lawyer Christen E. Luikart’s request for a continuance.

Many have spoken out on Twitter, hailing the firm’s move as the correct response, but some are undecided about whether the suspension was too extreme.
