Like any other lawyers, international arbitration specialists are expected to go to bat for their clients and their law firms. But increasingly, they’re also boosters for their hometowns, as more destinations compete to serve as venues for global disputes that fill hotel rooms and keep attorneys and support staff busy.

To that end, many in Miami’s arbitration community are celebrating a recent report from the University of Leicester that names the city as the second-most popular U.S. destination for arbitration in the Americas, based on a survey of attorneys from 39 countries in the Americas.
