A First Amendment lawyer representing white nationalist Richard Spencer said Tuesday he was working with the University of Florida to choose an alternative date for Spencer to speak on campus since the school canceled an earlier engagement.
The apparent cooperation occurred after an exchange of letters late last week between the school’s acting general counsel, Amy Hass, and Spencer’s lawyer, Gary Edinger of Gary S. Edinger & Associates in Gainesville.
