Travel & Leisure, the Orlando-based timeshare company formerly known as Wyndham Destinations, sued timeshare cancellation company Wesley Financial Group, its sister company Wesley Credit Repair and owner Chuck McDowell Thursday in Florida Middle District Court over alleged violations of the Lanham Act. The suit, filed by Shutts & Bowen, accuses defendants of falsely advertising services to timeshare owners that claim to aid in allowing for the 'cancellation' of existing timeshare contracts. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 6:21-cv-02106, Wyndham Vacation Resorts, Inc. et al v. Wesley Financial Group, LLC et al.
