Walmart and Christopher David Hernandez were slapped with a wrongful death and negligence lawsuit on April 16 in Texas District Court for Harris County. The suit was filed by Husain Law + Associates on behalf of the Estate of Joshua D. Lazard Sr., who was allegedly fatally shot by Hernandez while in the parking lot of the defendant's Sam Houston Parkway South premises. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants.
