Private prison operator The GEO Group and other defendants were hit with a class action Monday in Pennsylvania Western District Court over alleged abuses at a Pennsylvania juvenile detention center. The suit, filed by Cornerstone Legal Group, contends that plaintiffs were subjected to physical, mental and sexual abuse while in custody at the Abraxas Youth and Family Services center. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:22-cv-00499, Van Buren et al v. Abraxas Youth And Family Services et al.
