The Environmental and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit Friday in Delaware District Court targeting Honeywell International, Chemours, Bayer CropScience, Chevron and other defendants. The complaint accuses the defendants of discharging benzene, ethylbenzene and other hazardous substances into the Upper Potomac Aquifer. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-00731, United States of America et al v. Hercules Incorporated et al.
