Barnes & Thornburg filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit Tuesday in Ohio Northern District Court on behalf of mortgage lender Union Home Mortgage Corp. The suit takes aim at Everett Financial Inc., doing business as Supreme Lending, and four former Union Home employees. The suit seeks to recoup retention bonuses that were given to the employees in accordance with their executed employment agreements and pursues claims against Mark Tuttle for improperly soliciting coworkers to leave Union for direct competitor, Everett Financial. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:23-cv-00996, Union Home Mortgage Corp. v. Everett Financial Inc. et al.
