M. Craig Murdy of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith and Jamie L. Mayrose of Rader Mayrose LLP have stepped in to defend Charis Foundation Inc., Janice L. Ruark and Kevin Reese Ruark in a pending civil RICO lawsuit. The court action was filed July 3 in Arizona District Court by the Law Offices of Donald W. Hudspeth and Ryan Rapp Pacheco Sorensen PLC on behalf of Act Now Health Care Solutions and other plaintiffs. The suit accuses the defendants of engaging in a years’ long scheme of unlawfully depleting funds from the plaintiff' bank accounts and simultaneously leaving the plaintiffs with tax liabilities and liens. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Stephen M. McNamee, is 2:24-cv-01641, Tjalas et al v. Ruark et al.
