AstraZeneca was hit with an employment lawsuit on Sept. 18 in South Carolina Circuit Court for Greenville County. The suit was filed by the Arnold Law Firm on behalf of a former senior director of business transformation who worked from home. According to the complaint, the defendant cut the plaintiff's performance bonus in half and refused to pay a long-term incentive bonus because she did not come into the office at least three days a week in 2022. The suit further contends that the defendant retroactively changed the bonus criteria without notice in violation of the South Carolina Wage Payment Statute. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2023CP2304769, Bodes v. AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP.
