Matthew J. Rifino of McCarter & English has entered an appearance for Computershare Inc., cleantech company 347Water Inc. and other defendants in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed Sept. 5 in Delaware District Court by Billion Law on behalf of three Dutch citizens, alleges Computershare wrongly reported to the state of Delaware that shares owned by the plaintiffs had been abandoned and constituted unclaimed property. The suit also alleges the defendants never notified the plaintiffs that their shares had been escheated. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Colm F. Connolly, is 1:23-cv-00969, Somers et al v. Computershare Trust Company, N.A. et al.
