General Motors and its top officials have turned to lawyers Stephanie A. Douglas and Roger P. Meyers of Bush Seyferth & Paige to fight a pending securities class action. The action, filed Dec. 8 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Pomerantz LLP, accuses the defendants of downplaying concerns in relation to GM vehicles’ airbags and the need to record additional warranty accruals for related product recalls. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Shalina D. Kumar, is 2:23-cv-13132, Shamoon v. General Motors Company et al.
