Williams & Connolly partners Dane H. Butswinkas and Tobin J. Romero have stepped in to represent Nader Al-Naji in a pending securities lawsuit. The suit, filed July 30 in New York Southern District Court by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, accuses Al-Naji of selling 'decentralized' crypto asset securities to investors while illegally diverting over $257 million in investor funds for personal use. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, is 1:24-cv-05738, Securities and Exchange Commission v. Al-Naji et al.
