Some security experts say the Securities and Exchange Commission's new cybersecurity-disclosure rules—which go into effect in days—should bring necessary transparency to what's historically been an opaque area, and will spur companies to take cybersecurity seriously. But many still worry that the rules are too broad and ambiguous, and complain that the SEC has done little to clarify its expectations.
