Holland & Knight attorneys representing Lockheed Martin Corp. sued a key supplier to the manufacture of the F-35 Lightning II, claiming its demand to renegotiate prices on titanium parts breaches their contract. Micah R. Prude and Sara Babineaux of Holland & Knight filed suit Thursday in the Northern District of Texas-Fort Worth Division against Howmet Aerospace Inc. and it subsidiary RTI Advanced Forming Inc. At issue is Fort Worth-based Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics, designer and manufacturer of the F-35, a centerpiece of the U.S. military's current and future national defense program; the military's current inventory objective is to obtain 2,456 F-35 fighters by the mid-2030s, Lockheed Martin states in its complaint.
