New Suit - Employment

The Walt Disney Company and Twentieth Century Fox Television were sued Wednesday in California Central District Court over their COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The suit was brought by Siri Glimstad LLP on behalf of former 9-1-1 actor Rockmond Dunbar, a Black male known for roles in 'Prison Break,' and 'Soul Food.' Dunbar contends that his religious and medical accommodation requests regarding the mandate were not taken seriously and alleges that defendants approved accommodations for non-Black individuals who did not seek a religious exemption. The suit pursues religious discrimination and retaliation claims and seeks over $1 million in residual and contractual payments. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:22-cv-01075, Rockmond Dunbar v. The Walt Disney Company et al.
