Attorneys for U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez are asking a federal judge to set aside their client's guilty verdicts, claiming prosecutors violated the lawmaker's rights to protected speech and debate. The motion, filed late Monday, comes as Menendez, D-NJ, is expected to resign his position at the end of business on Tuesday. Menendez is represented by Adam Fee and Avi Weitzman of Paul Hastings and Yaakov Roth of Jones Day.
