A right wing activist group sued Stanford University and the University of Washington for defamation Wednesday in Washington Western District Court over a 2020 blog post published by the universities' Election Integrity Partnership. The suit, filed by Clare Locke and Ard Law Group on behalf of Project Veritas, contends that post and subsequent coverage by The New York Times falsely accused the organization of making claims with no factual basis and spreading election misinformation. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-01326, Project Veritas v. University of Washington et al.
