New Suit - Election 2024, Voting Rights

The Republican National Committee, Donald J. Trump for President 2024 Inc. and other plaintiffs sued Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar and other Nevada officials on May 3 in Nevada District Court. The lawsuit seeks to challenge a Nevada law that allows mail-in ballots to be counted that are received up to four business days after an election day if the ballots have been postmarked on or before the day of the election. The plaintiffs argue that the law 'extends Nevada's federal election past election the day.' The complaint was filed by Consovoy McCarthy; Ashcraft & Barr; the Dhillon Law Group; and the Chattah Law Group. The case is 3:24-cv-00198, Republican National Committee v. Burgess.
