United Healthcare Insurance Co., HR service provider Insperity and other defendants were hit with an ERISA lawsuit on April 27 in Utah District Court. The suit, brought by Brian S. King PC on behalf of a plaintiff and his minor child, is part of a wave of cases challenging health insurers' denial of coverage for inpatient mental health, behavioral and/or substance abuse treatment. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:24-cv-00307, S. v. United Healthcare Insurance Company.
