New Suit - Patent

Pfizer and other defendants were slapped with a patent infringement lawsuit on April 25 in Delaware District Court centered on their Comirnaty vaccines for COVID-19. The court case was brought by Richards, Layton & Finger and Desmarais LLP on behalf of GlaxoSmithKline, which accuses the defendants of making billions of dollars from infringing five patents related to RNA encoding for eliciting an immune response and the administration of lipid formulations with immunogens. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:24-cv-00512, Glaxosmithkline Biologicals SA v. Pfizer Inc.
