Amazon.com was slapped with a biometric privacy class action on April 22 in Illinois Northern District Court. The court action, brought by Fradin Law, accuses the defendant of collecting and storing employees' facial geometry scans for timekeeping purposes in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:24-cv-03208, Johnson v. Amazon.com Services, LLC.
