New Suit - Antitrust Class Action

United Sugar Producers & Refiners, American Sugar Refining and other defendants were named in an antitrust class action on April 16 in Minnesota District Court. The suit, brought by Glancy Prongay & Murray; Lockridge Grindal Nauen; and Greenwich Legal Associates, is part of a wave of cases accusing sugar producers of colluding to keep prices artificially high by exchanging non-public info about prices, sales volumes and other market data through Commodity Information's 'Domestic Sugar Monthly Report.' Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 0:24-cv-01370, Corbos Deli Southside, LLC v. United Sugar Producers & Refiners Cooperative f/k/a United Sugars Corporation.
