Apparel company Akerson Enterprises d/b/a Kindred Bravely, which specializes in maternity and nursing clothes, filed a patent infringement and false advertising lawsuit against Shenzhen Conglin E-Commerce d/b/a Smartlin, Shenzhen Lute Innovations Technology and other defendants on April 15 in Washington Western District Court. The suit, brought by Workman Nydegger APC, alleges that the defendants' 'Momcozy' nursing bra infringes the plaintiff's patent; the suit further accuses the defendants of manipulating Amazon Standard Identification Numbers or 'ASINs' to boost product reviews on Amazon. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:24-cv-00506, Akerson Enterprises LLC v. Shenzhen Conglin E-Commerce Co. Ltd. et al.
