New Suit - Patent

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, an Israeli multinational pharmaceutical company, was hit with a patent infringement lawsuit on April 8 in Delaware District Court. The court action, asserting 12 patents related to the plaintiff's acromegaly treatment, Mycapssa, was brought by Richards, Layton & Finger and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan on behalf of Amryt Endo and Chiesi Farmaceutici. The suit seeks to enjoin Teva from manufacturing and distributing generic versions of Mycapssa prior to the expiration of the plaintiffs' patents. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:24-cv-00441, Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.a. v. Teva Pharmaceuticals Inc.
