Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, an Israeli multinational pharmaceutical company, was hit with a patent infringement lawsuit on April 4 in Delaware District Court. The court action, asserting six patents related to the plaintiff's medication for chronic myeloid leukemia, Tasigna, was filed by McCarter & English and Venable on behalf of Novartis, a Swiss-based pharmaceutical company. The suit seeks to enjoin Teva from manufacturing generic versions of Tasigna prior to the expiration of the plaintiff's patents. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:24-cv-00428, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation v. Teva Pharmaceuticals Inc.
